Two Halves of a Whole
Our Karate/Taekwondo program is a complete study of the kicking, striking, and blocking techniques of these
dynamic arts; but the real emphasis is on mental, physical, and spiritual fitness. It is an exhilarating
workout that challenges students to work toward their goals while enjoying the journey along the way.
Karate
Karate is an ancient art from the island of Okinawa. Karate emphasizes strong, intricate hand techniques with deep,
stable stances. Students learn to create speed and power through proper body mechanics and skillful application of
the art’s centuries-old techniques.

Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a Korean art known for its wide variety of fast footwork and kicking techniques. Endurance,
balance, speed and flexibility are all challenged with the exciting array of kicking techniques that
encompass the art of Taekwondo.
A Complete Martial Arts Program
The strengths of these two martial arts perfectly complement one another – helping students
achieve a high level of physical fitness, and a strong self-defense system, while developing
control over mind, body, and spirit.
